In 2017, Daniel Howe set out to record a second Ray Gun Solace EP. Life in these United States had recently been turned upside down from the White House to the beaches of California. Seething with frustration at the complacency and division shown within the left that allowed a xenophobic loon to take the White House, he set about to record to tape his anthems for change. Thus came "Regan Zealous' a five-track EP that makes no bones of its intentions for a better tomorrow backed by primarily acoustic guitars. Working in the fine emo tradition of a one-man band with a name (Dashboard Confessional, OneLineDrawing, and The New Amsterdams to name a few) Ray Gun Solace is here to challenge both you and your perception of the system.
"This album was recorded in 2017 and released in 2020. You're listening to it in whatever year you're listening to it. If you still feel it describes the world as you know it, that means there's more work to be done."
