Back in the olden days of yore I approached Nat from SPACESHIPS about doing a split with the fellow South Bend entity that is Analecta. I figured these two bands of friends could concoct something spectacular together. Since then, I’ve sent approximately 800 messages to Nat and Sarah (from Analecta) following up, chasing, nudging, friendly reminding, whatever you want to call it, the fact that this split was on the FCR agenda and it NEEDED to happen. I knew that the diversity of these two bands paired with their powerful kinship would create something magical. And, not to toot my own horn but… I was right. SPACESHIPS deliver three new tracks that follow on the heels of Pillars but explore further sonic textures. Analecta explores new ground by adding vocals and creating the best post-ska experience possible (there is nothing ska about this band ever). We paired that with artwork from the ever talented Abigail Markov (@abigailmarkov) and voila, something to discover again and again.
